We are living in unsettling times. Countries around the world are stepping up efforts to make sustainable industrial economies, partly by increasing the quantities of fuels, chemicals, materials and food will be produced from renewable resources, hence all related to human consumption will have therefore high quality and not against consumer health.
The search for new substances for controlling crop and postharvest pests and diseases, as well as the exploration of fertilizers, plant regulators, and proper management of waste and pesticides, are common tasks in agricultural field.
For those reasons, and seeing the need to increase efforts to promote sustainable agriculture, we have designed a program for the Symposium on Agrochemistry to show the progress of the latest scientific researches in Colombia in order to stimulate discussion and networking knowledge.

Estamos viviendo en tiempos de cambio contínuo y por ello, los países a nivel mundial están intensificando los esfuerzos para que las economías industriales sean sostenibles, en parte por el aumento en la producción de combustibles, productos químicos, materiales y alimentos a partir de recursos renovables, buscando mejorar en un alto porcentaje en la calidad de vida en la población.
La búsqueda de nuevas sustancias para el control de plagas y enfermedades en los diferentes cultivos y en etapas de postcosecha, así como la exploración de fertilizantes, reguladores para el crecimiento de las plantas, y la adecuada gestión de los residuos y plaguicidas, son objetivos comunes en el campo agrícola.
Por estas razones, y viendo la necesidad de aumentar los esfuerzos para promover la agricultura sostenible, se ha diseñado un programa para el simposio sobre temas afines al tema de Agroquímica para mostrar el progreso de las últimas investigaciones científicas en Colombia con el fin de estimular el debate y el conocimiento en red.
